The Elementary Woodshop

The Elementary Woodshop was created by a retired woodworking teacher to bring the woodworking experience to children in grades K-7.

We design and manufacture all the pre-cut woodworking kits in our shop on Vancouver Island and have provided this experience to all provinces and territories in Canada over the past several years. We are proud to have a hand in introducing students to trade careers before they reach high school.

This program was developed for teachers of Grades K-7 with no woodworking experience to deliver a fun and engaging experience in Applied Design, Skills and Technologies (ADST).

This complete teaching unit is well suited to both urban and remote schools as we ship via courier and wherever Canada Post delivers within Canada.

Woodworking kits and cross-curricular workbooks for your classroom address the ADST Core Competencies as set out by the Ministry of Education in BC. Teachers in other provinces can refer to their provincial Ministry of Education curriculum.
